Settembre Lucchese

September – A variety of events of all sorts to celebrate the month of the harvest, that dates back in time. The highlight of which is the 13th with the candlelight Procession of the Holy Cross through the streets of the city and Fireworks.

Other events

Lucca Comics & Games – October/November – One of the world’s largest events dedicated to the world of comics, board games and cosplayers. The huge turnout of fans invades the city for several days making this event a huge event.

Folklore – Various dates – Medieval settings recreating life in those distant times. Crossbow competition in Lucca July 12th.

Food

Wine and olive oil exhibitions and tastings – Autumn/Spring – visits to farms, wine cellars and olive presses; a variety of great local country cuisine and world class restaurants.
Desco Food Festival – November/December – Typical foods on show in the amazing venue Real Collegio.
